a selection of rare Western Swing film clips featuring Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys, Cindy Walker, Tennesse Ernie Ford and Jimmie Wakely, Tex Williams and many more. Also: "Fiddlin' Man: the Life and Times of Bob Wills". Stompin' Steve will be providing background info and context for the films. Stompin’ Steve Hathaway has hosted the weekly classic country radio program, “The Cupertino Barndance,” for over 34 years on KKUP radio in Cupertino, California. He is presently the station's Program Director. He is an avid country music collector with an extensive library of books, records, photographs, 16mm films, and videos of country and jazz music. He has contributed to the liner notes and/or supplied photos for many record reissues of classic country music. He has contributed biographies for The Encyclopedia of Country Music, publishes the Western Swing Newsletter, and maintains a website devoted to western swing music, westernswing.com.
